Soup’s on on the Discovery Home, and thus far it has been successful with the neighborhood.
The annual fundraiser began off taking orders for the weekly Friday lunches on Thursdays, which solely lasted a single week earlier than the habit restoration program wanted to have extra time to course of the entire orders they have been receiving.
By Feb. 26, two weeks into the six week lengthy fundraiser, they’d already raised over $7,000 and served up over 800 bowls of soup.
Discovery Home is advising folks to order near the beginning of the week to make sure that they will get their favorite soup. Orders have been promoting out as early as Tuesday.
For Friday, March 12, there have been 16 completely different soups on the menu, starting from borscht, to curried butternut squash, to hamburger soup to African peanut stew.
The soup stays obtainable to order for 2 extra weeks, with the fundraiser’s final introduced pick-ups on March 26.
A single order of soup is $7, and comes with Cobs’ buns and a McDonald’s espresso. Three orders of soup are $20, 5 are $30, and 10 soups can be found for $50.

Orders of soup may also be donated. Any donation of $5 or extra will purchase a soup for somebody in want, distributed on Saturday by the SOWINS Cellular Outreach Van.
